Drive's new video on BMW's 535d got me thinking, why isn't there a 550d in the US? Sure enough it !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! in the form of a 3L tri-turbo with 376hp and 546 lb-ft. The want is really strong with this.

Yeah, 550i ain't bad at all although the 550d would be an even better DD. My father has had around 3 or 4 of the 550i before trading up to an M6 and I loved them all.

No lol not bad at all, my dad has an e60 m5 and with the minor amounts of work I've done to my car I am able to keep with him rather well.
But I do wish I was able to get these amazing MPG figures. 44 highway MPG is incredible. I'l be happy if I manage 30

Ok. Since I'm unfamiliar with BMW nomenclature, what does the D stand for? I think I is for injection, obviously meaning fuel injected which isn't relevant anymore because carbs aren't used. But for D, my mind wants to instantly think diesel, because BMW. Am I correct?

Alright, thank you. And I know the numbers don't mean anything anymore. I know it used to be a 550 would be a 5 series, 5 liter. Which obviously isn't the case anymore.
